BIS A U10 finished their league season with a solid 4-0 win against a hard working SM A team This win clinched 3rd spot for BIS and the 4th goal scored by Michael Wang was the 50th league goal of the season for the team, a fitting reward for the attacking flair shown by the team all season.
Jeremy Hillock continued his goal scoring exploits with another thunderbolt from the edge of the box following a great run and footwork down the left by Charlie McFadden, The second was a penalty with rather hostile barracking going on around him Hillock kept a cool head to slot the kick home This brought his tally to 14 for the season, an outstanding debut season for Jeremy.
Ablai McKerrow who has also been in great form lately opened the scoring with a brave headed goal and the fourth was a team goal with a non stop display from Michael Wang finally pushing the loose ball home. In defence Chelsea Rock, Siddartha, Calum Pitkethly, Zach Parsons and the impeccable Tom Mawson rarely gave the SM attack a chance at goal and the odd occasion they did Jong Joo Kim continued to show his vast improvement in goal.
Rijal Rowe played midfield for a change and was also his usual non stop self and our Captain Luke Faulds had a great game and was unlucky not to score with the SM keeper also playing a standout game. Dong H Kim was dominant and the highlight of the first half was a brilliant mazy run down half the length of the field by our top scorer Mathew Bavin (17 goals) who beat 4 men before crossing the ball. Mathew scored some breathtaking goals this season.
Hats off to both JIS A and SCB A for unbeaten seasons lets hope the play off has plenty of goals and excitement.

BIS A v SBR A 14 March
Match Report: U10A
BIS A v SBR A
14th march 2009
Score BIS A 5-2
Team:
Jong Joo Kim, Jeremy Hillock, Mathew Bavin, Charlie McFadden, Zach Parsons, Chelsea Rock, Luke Faulds, Dong Hyun Kim, Rijal Rowe, Ablai McKerrow, Calum Pitkethly, Tom Mawson, Siddartha, Michael Wang, Shawn Tjahaja
Goalscorers: Jeremy Hillock 3 Ablai McKerrow 1 Luke Faulds 1
This was the Jeremy Hillock show, in a very entertaining game both teams played good attacking football but the key difference between the two sides was the brilliant hat trick from Jeremy Hillock, the first an unstoppable free kick from 30 metres and then a solo run and shot for his second. In between this both Luke Faulds and then Ablai McKerrow scored excellent goals with strong shots. It was never an easy game and Bogor pushed all the time scoring two nice goals themselves In the BIS defence Chelsea Rock continues to dominate and Calum Pitkethly shows amazing pace and stamina with his great runs down the wing from fullback one such run setting up a great goal for Luke Faulds. Tom Mawson again showed he is the best left sided defender in the league with a polished display of hard tackling and perfect distribution of the ball. An enjoyable game for the spectators played with fine team spirit and sportsmanship from both teams.

Not exactly football - BIS Road Race Sunday 15 March 2009
I saw quite a few of you today at the BIS Road Race so I thought I would post a few photos. I think I saw coach Peter Hillock in the fun run and with a bit of training, I think we have a marathon runner in our midst.
Nervous competitors at the start.
And, yes, they are off !
Runners flashing by.

I think this guy was the winner???????

Two BIS boys fighting it out. I think one plays for the U10 Reds.

Footbal is much easier, you can play badly and they take you off for a quarter.
Have a heart and you can run.

The fun run.
Fun run competitors running down the hill.

Its all down hill now.

Its all down hill now.
