This was a great day for BIS U10 A as the big match up between JIS A and AL Azhar saw Al Azhar run out 3-2 winners in a very close game. The JIS loss gave BIS the opportunity to grab a clear lead in the championship run in providing they managed to beat mid table MISJ.

The game started at a good pace with some excellent passing moves from BIS and it wasn’t long before this pressure paid off with a great 4 man move starting the move in defence Rijal Rowe passing to Shimpei down the right who then slid a great ball to Jeremy Hillock who then beat two men down the line before firing a brilliant ball across the face of the goal were the ever alert Ablai McKerrow reacted the fastest to strike his 10th goal home.
1-0 BIS Q1

Q2 Saw BIS maintain their dominance with some wonderful football and William Boyce epitomized the skill and attitude the BIS team has at the moment by winning a crunching covering tackle in defense, William then controlled the ball before taking a quick look up front to see what his options were, he then under pressure played a slide rule pass down the left wing to Shawn Tjahaja who controlled nicely before playing a beautiful through ball to the ever running Charlie McFadden who showed good pace and skill by out maneuvering the tough defender and shooting across goal for a lovely second goal. Again this goal came from defense to attack and a goal.

Q3 The BIS A team started to run rampant with goals going in from all angles and positions, the best goal of the game was a brilliant header from Shawn Tjahaja who headed home a perfect cross from a brilliant right wing run and cross by Kiran Ross. The hard working defender Kiran Ross now in midfield scored soon after with a strong cross shot that went in at the far post.
Top scorer Ablai McKerrow showed more of his magic feet by turning two defenders nicely in the box before firing hard and low past the bemused goalkeeper to score his 11th goal of a very impressive season.

Q4 and the great football continued with lovely work by Jeremy Hillock and then to McFadden allowing John Broadfoot to score a very well taken half volley at the far post. Charlie McFadden scored his second goal with a trade mark goal collecting the ball on the edge of the box from a sharp ball from Shimpei before beating his man and shooting high across the goal into the top corner, and then Ilyes Benmaamar deservedly got his name on the score sheet with an absolute scorcher from outside the box to close out the scoring.

A quick mention for our goalkeeper Gijs Berkhout who had very little to do in goal today but on two occasions made excellent saves to preserve our “best defense” in the league record. Well done Gijs its not always easy to stay focused at all times.
Special mentions to “magic feet “Ablai McKerrow,” box to box” Jeremy Hillock who did everything but score today, a rare blip for him and Kevin Gibney who continues to show he has great skill and timing with some excellent tackles and beautiful distribution down the left, the never say die William “Speedy” Boyce who improves each week and leads the best defense in the league.
A great performance against a solid side,MISJ who worked and fought very hard and played with spirit but BIS A just outgunned them today
